We live in a world that judges people on a constant basis. People are judged by their appearance, their political party, their sexual orientation, the color of their skin. Whether or not they vaccinate their children or support a brand because of their representative choice. One of the main reasons I no longer get on Facebook is because of all the negativity out there. Strangers, arguing and fighting about things that don’t personally affect them. What does it matter if Billy likes to date a different race, or if Sally like to date girls? How does that personally affect you?? Why let someone else’s choices make you angry to where you lash out? I am a Christian and as a Christian I am supposed to love all people. Not just people who voted for the same president as me, people that look like me, or agree with the way I’m raising my child. ALL PEOPLE.
And now I give you a new commandment, As I have loved you, so you must love one another. John 13.34
Do not take revenge on others or continue to hate them, but love your neighbors as you love yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18.
Above everything, love one another earnestly, because love covers over many sins. 1 Peter 4:8.
Over and over again the bible states that we should love each other. Even our enemies! So how can we love one another if we spend our days judging others because they might be different from you? When people look at me, I want them to see Jesus. And they won’t see Jesus if I’m telling them how wrong and stupid they are. Or if I’m lashing out over something as silly as a Facebook post. They won’t see Jesus if I tell them they’re going to hell for being a sinner, a homosexual, or a bigot. They will ONLY see Jesus if I show them unfailing love, kindness, and forgiveness. I want them to know that God loves them no matter what! We are all sinners. Every single one of us. And thankfully God sent Jesus to save us and rescue us from our sins. I want them to know what I know! I want them to have the comfort and peace in Jesus that I do! So whether or not you are a democrat or republican, gay or straight, black or white, have a history of drug abuse, prostitution or even jail time. I will love you and accept you because that is what Jesus would do. Let God be the judge on judgement day.
Beautiful. Love your post! Love your Bible journaling too! ❤
